Is it really possible to prevent women's hair loss with conscientious hair care? This is not a question that can be answered with certainty. Clearly, this is not true for all women. If the cause of your hair loss is genetic, it can't be prevented by any type of hair care. Yet it does help you maintain the health of your remaining hair, and this is important as well. Keeping your hair and your scalp healthy are vital if you want to prevent hair loss. It's very likely that you aren't happy about the idea of losing your hair and would like to prevent it. Let's examine a few important rules of hair care to help you keep your hair healthy.

Proper hair moisture is important. The less moisture you have, the more brittle your hair becomes. One way to achieve that is to use a hair conditioner and use it regularly. However if you have oily hair, then you'll want to use an herbal rinse in the place of a conditioner. If you do use the conditioner, and your hair is oily, then you'll find out that it just adds weight to it and won't look pleasing. Actually, what happens is due to the excess weight on your hair, the follicles become weakened. You may want to talk to your hair stylist for an opinion.

Try to avoid changing your hair products too much such as your shampoos, etc. It's nothing unusual at all for women, and men, to change hair care products for a variety of reasons. It puts a lot of chemical stress on your scalp and hair.

It'll be much less stress to get into a routine and then just remain with what works well for you. Chances are good that you know what works, so get rid of everything else. Use that brand and don't switch off for a couple of months, at least. If you change to another brand in less time you'll just be causing a lot of stress to your hair and scalp.

This should not need to be said, yet we will - combing your hair every day is extremely important. If you need a brush, then of course you brush your hair each and every day. If you do not comb your hair every day it will get matted and your scalp could get clogged with too much oil. Dreadlocks may look cool to you but they are not good for your scalp and are a good way to invite conditions that cause women's hair loss. Unfortunately, for some women the best hair care will not stop hair loss. It can, however, help to ensure that you are as confident as you can be about the hair on your head. You'll feel happier about things in your life, and that will help just in case your hair does start to thin. Don't rely on hair care alone to keep your hair though: talk to your doctor about other medicinal methods for keeping women's hair loss away.
